The Ezy-Guard 4 Safety Barrier is a cutting-edge steel guardrail system designed to provide superior motorist safety. Compliant with the latest MASH TL3 and NCHRP-350 TL4 standards, it offers enhanced protection, cost-effectiveness, and ease of installation. The system utilizes a proven W-Beam Guardrail secured to a sliding carriage mounted on a unique Z-Post. Unlike C-Post and open-profile post designs, the Z-Post is engineered to yield above ground upon impact, releasing the carriage and allowing the W-Beam rail to control and redirect errant vehicles safely and efficiently while minimizing ride-down deceleration forces.

• Connection to End Terminals, Transitions & Crash Cushions: at 787mm Rail Height, Ezy-Guard 4 is designed to connect to ET-SS, Trend Median, Ezy-Guard HC, Ingal RBT and QuadGuard M10 enabling complete MASH TL-2 and TL-3 compliance.

• Narrow System Width: At just 200mm from Face of Rail to Back of Post and a 90mm x 50mm Post Profile, Ezy-Guard 4 minimises disturbance to the roadside area and conserves valuable formation width.

• Consideration for Utilities & Services: Ezy-Guard 4 is available with Surface Mounted Posts and where suitable Posts may be omitted for up to 6m. Engineered Ground Beam designs are available to suit Surface Mounted Posts.

• Suitable for Reduced Deflection: Deflection values for Ezy-Guard 4 may be reduced by decreasing Post Centres below the standard 2m.

• Multiple Speed Environments: Ezy-Guard 4 is ideally suited to all speed environments up to and including TL-3.

• Proximity to Hinge Point: Ezy-Guard 4 has been successfully MASH TL-3 tested on the Hinge Point of a 2H:1V Batter Slope using Extended Length Posts with increased embedment.

• Unique Ezy-Lift Upgrade: By replacing an existing carriage with an Ezy-Lift carriage, an Ezy-Guard 4 Barrier will remain compliant after a bitumen overlay of up to 180mm.

• Verge or Median Application: While the majority of installations are located on the verge, Ezy-Guard 4 is ideal for median applications in either single-sided or double-sided layouts, offering effective containment for bidirectional traffic with a streamlined design.

• Rapid Installation: With fewer parts and no concrete required, the Ezy-Guard 4 can be installed quickly, reducing labour costs and time on site.

• Consideration for Motorcyclists: The unique Z-Post used in all Ezy-Guard systems includes features such as rounded post edges and shielded posts to protect vulnerable road users. Ingal MPR may be installed with Ezy-Guard 4 in addition to Ezy-Guard Post Caps.

The Ezy-Guard 4 Safety Barrier is fully compliant with AS/NZS 3845 Parts 1 and 2 and has been recommended for acceptance by the Austroads Safety Barrier Assessment Panel. Approved for use at impact speeds up to 100 km/h, it is trusted for a wide range of road safety applications.

MASH TL3: Withstands impacts at 100 km/h, with a maximum dynamic deflection of 1.65m.

NCHRP-350 TL4: Successfully contains and redirects an 8000kg truck impacting at 80 km/h and 15°.
