Flexbeam Thrie-Beam is a longitudinally corrugated Rail which is an important component in an effective Safety Barrier configuration. Thriebeam has a larger, more rigid profile than WBeam and may (in conjunction with the use of specific Posts) form part of a Barrier which complies with various standards including AS/NZS 3845, Public Domain/G9/G9 Modified. - Description DescriptionFlexbeam Thrie-beam Rail is used in semi-rigid safety barriers in multiple applications and is integral to the safe & efficient redirection & containment of vehicles. The increased installation height, surface area and rigidity of Thriebeam Rail provide reductions in deflection and higher levels of containment compared to W-Beam Rail. As a result Thrie-beam Rail is used in all MASH Transitions to Rigid Structures.Flexbeam Thrie-Beam Rail may be installed directly onto In Ground or Base Plated Posts or onto Spacer Blocks mounted upon Posts dependent upon the relevant standard. In a non-standard application Thrie-beam may be mounted directly onto any suitable structure.Description DescriptionFeatures• Ease of Connection: Thrie-beam Rails join by overlapping and use Splice Bolts which lock into pre punched slots. Rail lengths allow for this overlap and are sold by “Net Lineal Length’ which refers to the effective length when Rails overlap. As an example, a 4m NLL Rail is 4.320m Overall but has 160mm at each end which is consumed when joined to another rail.• Standard Lengths: Thrie-beam Rails are available in standard lengths of up to 4m NLL and are punched to suit Splice and Post connections at each end. Some lengths and specific applications are available with additional Post slots.• Attachments: A range of connections to suit non roadside installations is available including Base Plated & In Ground Posts, Short Bullnose ends and, 90 Degree corners.• Transition Panels: Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Transition Rails are available to connect Thrie-beam rail to W-Beam rail.Description DescriptionAcceptanceFlexbeam Thrie-Beam guardrail is ‘deemed to comply’ with NCHRP-350 Test Level 3.
